The WMSO course is intended for any licensed/certified medical professional, or medical professional in training, who has an interest in wilderness medicine. This course balances didactic learning with realistic, hands-on scenarios that emphasize technical skill. This course is an approved WP-C review course by the International Board of Speciality Certifications.
A pre-requisite for this course is a professional healthcare certification, such as EMT, Paramedic, RN, APRN, PA, MD/DO, or status as a student in such a field. This is not a WFA/WFR course and is not intended to be an introduction to patient care. This course stresses clinical interventions to be performed by healthcare professionals working for healthcare system, under physician medical direction, or at the practitioner level.
Our instructors are physicians, paramedics, nurses, and EMTs who are active members of wilderness rescue teams and nationally-known subject matter experts.

Registration price is $1,000, and includes an on-site lodging option in semi-private bunk-style accomodations (see the student course guide as well as the information, below). Registration closes after 20 paid-in-full seats.
Price covers 40+ hours of instruction and lodging, either in semi-private bunk house accommodations (3-4 twin mattress bunk beds per room, separated in male & female wings containing several rooms, with male/female bathrooms and individual showers) or camp sites. Price does NOT include food. The venue features a well-equipped commercial kitchen, with generous refrigerated storage for personal food/drink items.
